Chicken Cacciatore

2 1/2# broiler fryer chicken, cut up
1/4 c flour
1/4 c vegetable oil
1 med onion coarsely chopped
1 med green pepper coarsely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 bay leaves
1 (16 oz) can tomatoes
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1/4 c dry white wine (or chicken broth)
2 T chopped parsley

-coat chicken in flour
-brown chicken in oil on all sides then remove from oil
-stir into pan; onion, green pepper, garlic; sautee 3 min
-return chicken to pan and add rest of ingredients except parsley
-simmer 30-35min, turning chicken occasionally
-garnish with parsley
