Pizza Crust

Pizza Crust (from Janet)

1 1/2c warm water
2tsp yeast
4 1/2c flour (I use 1/2 whole wheat)
5-6 cloves pressed garlic
2T sugar
2tsp salt
1/4c olive oil

(Many times I will sub Penzey's garlic salt for the salt and garlic)
 Combine water with yeast
Whisk rest of ingredients except flour
Add flour and knead

Cover and rise 1H, until double

Preheat oven to 400
Punch dough and cut in half. Shape on pizza pan and bake for 7min.
Then top the pizzas and bake until browned to liking.

Masala Chai Brownies

2T unsweetened cocoa powder (to dust pan)
1/3c unsweetened coconut
1c flour
1c white sugar
1/4c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2tsp baking powder
1/2tsp salt
1/2c strongly brewed chai
1/2c oil
1/2tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350.
Spray 8x8 and dust with the 2T cocoa powder
*mix dry except coconut
*mix wet
*mix wet with dry and add coconut
*bake 20min
*let cool an hour before cutting

Navy Bean Soup

Navy Bean Soup
(tastes just like campbells ham and bean soup!)

1# dry navy beans
1T baking soda
1tsp salt
1/2tsp pepper
1tsp dry mustard
hambone (or diced ham)
1c diced carrot
1c diced celery
3-4 cloves minced garlic
2 bay leaves

*in pan cover beans with water and add baking soda, bring to boil and let foam. drain, rinse with cold water and add 6c water
*add rest of ingredients
*bring to boil and simmer 1 1/2h
*remove bay leaves and serve
