I just saw this recipe in a book recently that also mentioned how store bought baking powder had less than desirable ingredients, including aluminum. I think I'll try this? Do you store it just like the store bought? And what do you usually store it in?
I only make it as needed, so I don't have a 'usual' storage method. But, if I did make it in a large batch I'd store it in a tupperware container.
There is an aluminum-free baking powder sold tho, it's Argo brand. I get it at Meijer, but I think Walmart has it too. It's sold in a white square container with a blue lid.
